I'm forcing myself to learn to use pastels better--I've always loved great pastel artwork, but could never achieve similar mastery of the medium as my peers. Today I sketched my lovely wife again. It was a quick 25 minute one before work, using ink and brush followed by pastels on some cheap paper stock. The pattern effect was unexpected, but not unwelcome.
